What is the Scottish Islands Banger Rally?

It is what it says on the tin really………
  • You buy an old banger for £999 or less at point of purchase *
  • Get a team of 2,3 or 4 people together (No singer person teams for safety)
  • Decorate/Customise your car to your own taste
  • Meet up in Gretna Green on the Scottish Borders
  • Spend a week travelling though the beautiful Scottish countryside and Lochs as well as visiting some amazing islands, such as Arran, Islay, Jura and Sky to mention a few, before a bit of “Nessie Spotting” before a final drive to our finishers party on the banks of Loch Lomond.
  • Trophies, medals, awards and T-Shirts for all finishers
  • A chance to sample some award winning Scottish Hospitality along the way, from Dolphin Spotting Trips to Castle adventures to Brewery and Distillery tours!
  • All whilst having a laugh and meeting new friends and raising money for a charity of your choice (Not mandatory)
We are looking at the first week in September 2026 and are just finalising a few details with ferry companies etc.
