Hosted by the British Rally TV Presenter, Paul Woodford, you will have the chance to listen to Paul and Louise in conversation about Louise’s illustrious rally career.

A true trailblazer, Louise made history as the first ever British driver to win a world rally title, becoming the FIA Ladies World Rally Champion. Over her incredible career, she also became the first woman to win a National Rally outright, was voted Autosport’s National Driver of the Year (1987), and was inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.

Louise’s remarkable achievements earned her the prestigious Segrave Trophy — an honour shared by legends like Sir Lewis Hamilton and Sir Stirling Moss — awarded for “a remarkable achievement on land, sea or air”.

Her rally career began in 1979 when her two brothers secretly entered her into Ford’s “Find a Lady Rally Driver” competition — out of 2,000 entrants, Louise came out on top. She’s gone on to inspire generations of motorsport fans ever since, even taking part in the Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally in memory of her late friend in 2008.
