The 500 OA is a club with a long association with Wiscombe Park – holding their first event on the hill in 1989. It is thought that the roots of the 500OA were established in the Wiscombe paddock with discussions held between drivers in the late 60’s.

The 500OA members will be racing their 500cc motor bike engined cars – a lot of these will be the well known Cooper chassis – the Formula 3 car of the 50’s and 60’s. Many famous names started their racing careers in a Cooper – the list includes Sir Stirling Moss, Graham Hill, Bernie Ecclestone and Ken Tyrrell.

For 12 years from 1951 the powerful and nimble 500cc Cooper-JAP cars dominated the British Hillclimb Championship producing multiple titles for Ken Wharton (4), Tony Marsh (3) and David Boshier-Jones (3).

We also have the following for you:

        • Revington TR/TR Register Sprint & Hillclimb Championship (Triumph)
        • Morgan Sports Car Club – SpeedMog Championship

A selection of contemporary race cars – saloons and single seaters – and a selection of the VSCC cars in preparation for their big day on Sunday.

And the first 2024 Wiscombe appearance of the members of the NHCA on their bikes, sidecars and trikes.

This is a packed event with something for everyone!
