Refund & Exchange Policy

This Refund & Exchange Policy (“Policy”) applies to all ticket purchases made through CarEvents.com websites or the DriveLife mobile application in the United States and Canada. By purchasing through our platform, you agree to the following terms, which work in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions.

1. Who Handles Refunds

CarEvents.com operates as a ticketing and promotional platform on behalf of independent event organizers, venues, and promoters (“Event Partners”). Your contract of sale is with the Event Partner, not with CarEvents.com. Refunds are issued by the Event Partner, with CarEvents.com acting only as a facilitator where necessary.

All refund or exchange requests must first be directed to the Event Partner using the contact information on your order confirmation or event listing page. If you are unable to reach the Event Partner or are instructed to contact us, please email info@carevents.com quoting your order number.

2. General Refund Policy

2.1 We cannot offer refunds or exchanges if an event proceeds on the date originally planned.

2.2 If additional dates are added for the same event, refunds are not available for tickets already purchased; however, you may contact the Event Partner to request a date transfer at their discretion.

2.3 If the date of an event changes, your ticket will normally remain valid for the new date. You may request a refund by emailing info@carevents.com at least fourteen (14) days prior to the new event date.

2.4 If an event is cancelled in full, refunds for the ticket face value will normally be issued automatically to the original payment method. If you have not received a refund within fourteen (14) days of the cancellation announcement, please contact us at info@carevents.com.

2.5 Refunds cover only the face value of the ticket. Service charges, transaction fees, and payment processing fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

3. Force Majeure & Public Health Events

If an event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather, public safety issues, or government restrictions (including health emergencies such as COVID-19), a refund of the face value of the ticket (excluding processing fees) will be issued automatically within seven (7) working days unless otherwise stated by the Event Partner.

4. Exchanges & Date Transfers

Requests to exchange or transfer tickets to another date or session must be made directly to the Event Partner and are subject to their approval. Exchanges are not guaranteed and may be limited by ticket availability.

5. How Refunds Are Issued

  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method used at checkout.
  • Once processed, funds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • If a chargeback or payment dispute has already been initiated with your card issuer, we may be unable to process a separate refund until the dispute is resolved.

6. All Sales Final

Except as expressly stated in this Policy or required by applicable consumer law, all sales are final. CarEvents.com and its Event Partners are not obligated to provide refunds for unused, lost, stolen, or damaged tickets, or for late arrivals, missed performances, or dissatisfaction with the event experience.

7. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback through your payment provider without valid reason may result in the cancellation of your order and suspension of your CarEvents.com account. We reserve the right to dispute any chargeback and provide evidence of a valid transaction to the payment processor.

8. Event Cancellations & Material Alterations

8.1 A “Material Alteration” is a change that makes the event substantially different from what ticket buyers could reasonably expect at the time of purchase. Examples that are not material alterations include changes in performers, weather conditions, or minor schedule adjustments.

8.2 If an event is materially altered, the Event Partner may offer a refund of the ticket face value or allow you to attend the altered event using your existing ticket. You must notify the Event Partner within the time specified in the event communication if you wish to request a refund.

9. Regional Consumer Rights

United States: State laws (including those in California, Colorado, and Virginia) provide certain consumer refund rights. Where required, Event Partners must comply with those state statutes. Refunds may not be denied for events cancelled or rescheduled without reasonable notice.

Canada: Refund entitlements vary by province. This Policy complies with applicable consumer protection laws in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec. In Quebec, a French-language version of this Policy will be provided upon request where required by law.

10. Promotional & Discounted Tickets

Tickets purchased under promotional codes, bundles, giveaways, or other discounted programs are non-refundable and may not be exchanged unless otherwise stated in the promotion terms or required by law.

11. Gifted or Transferred Tickets

If you received a transferred or gifted ticket, refund eligibility depends on the original purchaser’s rights under this Policy. Refunds can only be processed back to the payment method used for the original purchase.

12. Platform or Technical Errors

If a technical or pricing error occurs during checkout resulting in an incorrect charge, please notify info@carevents.com immediately. Verified overcharges caused by system errors will be corrected or refunded in full.

14. Updates to This Policy

CarEvents.com may update this Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of purchase will apply to your transaction. Material updates will be posted on our website with a revised publication date.
